Core Features
Photograph your catch. CatchIQ reads the GPS, time, and date from the photo automatically — then AI identifies the species, estimates the length and weight, and pins it to the chart. Zero manual entry.
On-device AI · EXIF extractionEvery catch is permanently paired with the exact conditions that produced it — tide phase, barometric pressure trend, wind, solunar score, moon phase. All fetched automatically. No apps to switch between.
Weather · Tides · SolunarInteractive nautical charts with NOAA depth contours, live tide overlays, and solunar heat zones. Navigate from your position to any saved spot by water bearing or road. Full offline capability — no signal needed on the water.
Mapbox · NOAA charts · OfflineMark, name, and organise your fishing spots directly on the chart. One tap saves your current GPS position. Share coordinates with a friend via a deep link. Your spots stay private by default — cloud synced, always available.
GPS · Sharing · Offline syncYour complete fishing journal, visualised. Species breakdowns, personal records, catch density heat maps, pattern analysis. See your best spots ranked by catch rate — and the conditions that made them great.
Stats · Heat maps · RecordsPick any future date. CatchIQ scores the forecast conditions against your personal catch history and returns a probability score for each saved spot — colour-coded on the map. The model gets sharper with every trip.
ML predictions · Spatial scoresHow It Works
Take a photo of any fish. CatchIQ reads the EXIF metadata to extract the exact time and GPS location, identifies the species with on-device AI, and estimates length and weight — all in under 60 seconds, with no manual input.
As each catch is logged, CatchIQ fetches the tide state, weather snapshot, moon phase, and solunar score for that exact location and moment. The catch pin appears on your nautical chart, surrounded by the conditions that produced it.
Your personal catch history builds a dataset unique to you and your spots. The analytics dashboard surfaces patterns — which tides, pressures, and moon phases your best catches share. The heat map shows where the action concentrates.
Select any future date and the prediction map lights up — every saved spot shows a colour-coded probability score based on forecast conditions matched against your historical data. Tap the best spot. Navigate there.
CatchIQ is in active development. Join the waitlist and be the first to get access when we open beta testing — and help shape the app with your feedback.
